OpenWork with SeibertGPT

Desktop assistant for files, documents and workflows – based on opencode, usable without a terminal.

Intermediatetested with OpenWork 0.18.54 on September 26, 2026 · all tools

1. Prerequisites

You need a SeibertGPT plan and an API key. You get both after signing in.

2. Download for Windows

  • Use the regular file “openwork-win-x64-….exe” – not “openwork-cloud-…” or “openwork-enterprise-…”.
  • SmartScreen warning: “More info” → “Run anyway”.

3. Set up

Paste the command into the PowerShell window. The script creates the config in the workspace folder you choose – it doesn't ask for a key. Enter the key directly in OpenWork, as described below under “Manual”.

Setup command
irm "https://gpt.seibert.ai/en/clients/openwork/setup.ps1" | iex
View the script first

Create a workspace

Create a workspace in OpenWork or choose an existing folder.

Put the config in the workspace

Download the file and save it as “opencode.jsonc” directly in this workspace folder.

Enter the key

In OpenWork: Settings → Environment → “Add variable”. Name: SEIBERTGPT_API_KEY, value: your key, then save. OpenWork stores it unencrypted in its settings folder.

Reload

Command palette → “Reload OpenCode config” (or restart the app), then choose deepseek-v41-flash-fast.

4. Test

Ask “Which files are in this workspace?” – OpenWork should list them.

5. Troubleshooting

“Custom providers are disabled by your organization”

You're using the cloud or enterprise version – install the regular OpenWork file.

Tool calls fail

Check that you've chosen a SeibertGPT model and that your plan is active.

HTTP 401 – key rejected

The key was copied incorrectly or has been revoked. Create a new key under Account → API keys.

HTTP 403 – IP binding

Your key is currently bound to a different IP (e.g. another device). Wait for the lock period to expire or release the binding under Account → API keys.

HTTP 413 – cold_request_too_large

A new or long-paused session starts with a lot of context. Start a new session or shorten the history.

“Hinweis von SeibertGPT: Der Kontext ist zu … gefüllt” (German context notice)

You're approaching your plan's context limit. Summarize the history (e.g. /compact) or start over.
